rice paper lantern lights

I have some lights that have a light within them, you can see them below, my question is how do I get the lights to shine thru the rice paper material, the material is at the moment 60% transparent.
Any help would be great.user added image

Hi Dae, I'm guessing your talking about the paper on the outside walls ? To look like there brighter from the light from outside ?

Up untill resently as far as I have sean, this efect has bean faked. LOL its all a fake anyway. I think more resently thought some caustic's or SSS has bean used for the rice paper efect of light transmition.

you would need to use translucency, but for that you will need to raytrace I believe
