Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Im starting on my first full scene but i think im gonna run into a big problem. Im drawing a house with big ray traced windows and using maya paint to make tree's.....see the problem? the trees wont cast shadows with ray trace and the windows wont let light shine through with Dmap. anyone got a work around? i tried using 2 lights (one right over the other) but the raytrace gets messed up really badly, the glass casts a shadow.
