Converting Maya 6 files to 5.01

Does anyone know how to convert maya 6 files to maya 5.01 files? I know there is a way to do it when you open the script up in the notepad and then make some changes. There is a tutorial how to do it going from 5 to 4.5 here https://www.persistentvisions.com/Ind....htm~mainFrame

and i am wondering if it is the same?

thanks
christian

It's the same. Just change the Requires Version number to "5.0".
