polygon splitting trouble

When I split the plygons in my car the texture of the polygon becomes all horrible and i was wondering whether there is a way to overcome this.

Probably something to do with the way your texture is mapped. Try selecting the faces of the model and go to edit polygons, texture, and then choose which mapping is suited best for your model.


There's nothing normal about normals. In FACT i think the are abnormal.

when you add geometry to a model, you're adding UVs and it will affect your UV layout. It's always a good idea most of the time to UV map a model after the modeling is finished.
