I want to make a sofa.So I creat a sphere, and make some modification on it.Then I reproduce it as edit>Duplicate. But when I amended one (use "F8") the others were changing at the same time.I don't want this.
Then what should I do?user added image

Sounds like you have instancing on. Go to the duplicate options and make sure there is no check mark on the instance option.

The only way I know of to make an instanced object independent of the parent is to convert it to a different geometry type. But I'm still pretty new to Maya, someone else may know how.
