Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I know that I probably shouldn't be posting this but who cares its the "members lounge". I choose to dedicate this thread to the music gods known as blink-182. Their recent anouncement of taking a long(deserved) or permanant break has leaked into the public. Although it tears at the heart of my soul to say this but "Goodbye, and thank you for all you have done.". Everyone else please feel free to express their deepest sorrow and for this thread to act as a music cemetary for amazing people and musicians. Or the moderators can just lock it up, but this is the "member's lounge".
WTF do you mean "nothing original"? Have you HEARD their self-titled album? One word, AMAZING......maybe four more. "IM rick james BITCH" But seriously, if you haven't heard that album you really need to. But if you have and you still think its "not original" then what are you on (and where did you get?, i might need some, lol).
I will say that they do have a few (and by few, I mean a FEW) good songs. I like "I Miss You" and "Stay Together For The Kids" (or something like that...dont remember the exact title..). I mean, if your going to play their stuff, its really simple and easy, because the guitarist is also the singer. So its nothing but simple riffs and chord progressions. But I mean, other than that, nothing really too big about them. Nothing that seperates them from any other punk-rock group out there.
I guess I am the wrong one to have a word here, as I'm a pretty old, rotten bastard, having paved my way through the 80s. So if it comes to punk, I'll prefer to stick with the old school of UK punk (and wave) bands, emerging from the late 70s and early 80s.
Ok...some of the US bands were damn great too (Kennedys for sure, Chelsea), but most of this so-called (neo?) punk these days...well...nah! It's missing a lot of what I was looking for in that kind of music way back when.
I'm not going to shed a tear for the demise of Blink-182...instead, I'll now go and put on the first Gang of Four album (Entertainment!) and make it really loud!

I would have said punk-pop, but suit yourself
I think Blink 182 were ok (I actually think the Take Off Your Jacket and Pants album is pretty good), definetly alot better than all of those wannabies that came after, like Good Charlotte, Sum 41 (had a decent song or two, though) and all those other crappy bands I can't remember the names of...
