Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

a shave and a haircut plugin problem

Hi,

ok, i just downloaded the demo version of the shave and a haircut fur plugin by JoeAlter, and i have installed it. The installation guide tells me to go to window>settings/preferences>plugin manager...

and there it is, the shave and a haircut plugin section

Problem: when i click on "load plugin", on the help box(bottom right of maya) it turns red that says "Error: The specified module could not be found."

what has gone wrong? how do i fix it? i also copy pasted the shaveNode.mll to the maya plug-ins folder, but it still says that error...

can someone that knows about this plugin help me please?

It's not the plugin, per say, but where you are putting it. You'll habe to put it in the folder under your system root which kinda looks like this:

C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator (or the account you're using)/My Documents/Maya/6.0/plugins

Maya is real touchy about where you put things.
