This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
DAMN!!! you rock dude!! I saw the poster wich is complety incredible and than this car.. Hope i'll make nice work like u later!! continu like that dude...
Thanks again Bro. I wish I did but this was a paying client that I had to wait for approval before I could post anything. I got the project before the release of the car so I had so sign an NDA. It sucks when you are excited about a project and like the way it is coming out but cannot talk to anyone or show anything to anyone. I cannot complain though about doing what I love for a living. The weird part about this project was that the first car I ever built was a Jeep, which is what I drive. The second was this one which is what my Ex-wife drives. It was for mazda which her dad was the Werstern Region vice president of. This was also the first major client I did work for. Talk about life doing weird things to you.
tariqrf The tires are a blin material in a way. They are just bump mapped and have a real low spec around the contact area and tread. I will post the shaders later. It was actully rendered in max since that was the program they wanted the file. I like modeling in Maya though. I used an HDRI for the renders so that is why the chrome came out like that. It is a white blin with med refelectivity. Later I will simulate it in Maya and get back to you. The programs are all the same. I used mental ray to render which is almost the same in either program. I do not like MAX but it was not up to me. You have to love filmbox.
i can make those shaders (the chrome and the tire, jus' dint want to waste tim ).. but god hell did i try making alloys,, never got them!!! its either too soft or too hard(visually)...
