I WANT TO MAKE HIGHLY DETAILED WEAPONS. BUT.....

Hello everyone there at SM. Well, am Gautam from india. AM planning to make some 3-4 highly detailed weapons for my demo reel and giving them animations. SO does anyone know where can i get exact reference images (the front, side and top views) of many weapons?? Like for all vehicals reference images, the good site is www.suurland.com, but i dont know any link for weapon.

Any help would be really appreciated!
thanks.
Gautam.

For a gun you only need a side reference and most online gun shops have loads.

Why only a side reference? Wouldn't you need to know the width of various pieces?

If you're searching on Google, try various keywords such as blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and drawings, along with the gun type (rifle, pisto, machine gun, etc.). there are a ton of images out there.

You might also look are any of the numerous gun afficionado magazines. They are full of photos and often include drawings. Good luck.

It would help if you did have images, but if you didn't they are all fairly standard and it i doubt a good guess would be far out.

It was the "highly-detailed" bit that made me ask that....figured he wanted exact measurements and everything else rather than close "guess-timates."

It'd say there is a difference between "highly - detailed" and accurate though. A model with all the parts and detail will look better than one without all the parts and detail but the slightly the wrong size.
