Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

WHOA, never heard of those. They look VERY powerfull though. Geez, what exactly are they for? Rendering, games, or somethig like that?

So, its like an internet server type thing? Bet it also has some pretty quick render times though.

yea ya could call it internet servers, real internet server wouldnt look like that, they would just look like normal pc towers only bigger, But to make the Web design look better they design futuristic looking towers,

I'm not even sure if they are made in a 3d program. just thought i'd ask and see,

Ummm....heh... you can't really tell how powerful a computer is by looking at it's outside. For all I know it could be a 386 inside that box.

it really doesnt matter what the power is, it's just an Image, It's just to make the page design look better.

start with a polygon cube and start shaping - using subs to round bits off - should be very easy to do as there pretty primitive shapes

Thanks i'll try it when i get home, as i said i'm a total Noob to Maya, so i know i'll be back asking what a subs are.

First things first!
Press F1 in Maya!
You should really start learning the basic of modeling and getting comfortable with the interface...
So study how polygon modeling works then learn NURBS and then get on SubDis!
