are the DVD's\videos worth buying?

i don't really want to pay money for somthing thats not going to be helpful, and i just wanted some details. I've watched some tutorial videos before and sometimes they're not so helpful. Do the ones here give a good description on what you'll be doing, what tools your going to be using, how to use the tools correctly, or do they blow right by that and just show the modeling. I can see that the videos are pretty long, but i just wanted to know before i bought some points or dvd's

Try the free videos here. They are done in exactly the same way as the pay videos. I suggest trying the Cartoon Dog first, especially if you are after organic modelling.

Yes, the Simply Maya tutorials are awesome. The beginner tutorials will go over all the tools and things like that, while the intermediate tutorials don't go into as much detail on those things. The free tutorials are very nice, but the others are much better. As I found they go into much more detail, use better techniques, etc.user added image
