Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

export from version 4.0 to 3.5 ?

Hi,

does anybody know, how I can export a maya file from version 4.0, so that I can read it in version 3.5 ? Or can I save it as maya 3.5 in 4.0 ?

thanks

I don't believe it is possible except to export as an .obj, but you'd lose any texture and animation info

I think it can be done by saving as a *.ma file, and hope that you didnt use any version 4.0 features. But you will get an error message when you import it in to 3.5, just ignore that and re-save.
