Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

This happened to me earlier:

I scaled a model way down (dont ask why), and when I used the select all and pressed F and/or Shift+F , to view selected in all vewports, There was nothing there.

This was the problem;

There were some small objects or residues from such objects in the modelspace that was not noticable by the eye. I had to drag the mouse over the whole screen to see what came up.

Points is, maya seleted my model AND the "invisible" "objects" so the frame all action messed things up.

My model was right in the middle, way small and not hardly noticable by the eye.

Another one of those freaky maya things. I just did my druid woman and realized i need more detail in the ear, when i edited the polygon with cut poly tool, random finger vertices would shoot out at around a trans 100 on the y and x axis. imagine what that looked like. Still havent fixed that problem but i found a work around.
