I did do that, but it still trails off..

edit: it was doing that because I had paint on depth checked, but now it deletes it where I painted and mirrors it on the Z-axis..

pfx are notoriously slow... I suspect there is a lot of math involved to update the render data.

If your system is up to it, you can try using the paint scene mode to visualize the effects as you paint them. press "8" then from the panel menu select paint>paint scene.

??? I thought you want to get rid of a fur pfx, if so, delete the stroke(s) for the fur. The stroke is the base of the effect... no stroke, no effect. Is the fur something beside pfx?

btw, thanks for all the help mhcannon
You're welcome... just hope it is some help.

Use the software renderer. If you need a different render engine then you'll probably have to convert the pfx to polygons.

Well, for the fur I was going to try a gorrilla fur effect, and when I clicked on the polys I wanted it on and clicked on the Gorilla fur effect button, it did nothing, then I tried selecting the whole model and doing it, but nothing happened. I tried other effects besides gorilla and nothing happened again.

Now when I go to the object in the attribute editor, all the effects I added now show up in the attribute editor, and I cant get rid of them.
========================

Hmm, I was using the software renderer when I rendered them...
