This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I found a site with a lot of Sega games on it. I am not sure if I am allowed to post the exact site (hot link or whatever it is called) so I replaced the "tt" with "--"
I have never played this game for Sega Genesis, but I have seen the t.v. show. I was thinking about doing the character to the left of Max in this image; the warrior that protects Max. I think he would be an interesting character to try and create, and many other game character have already been re-created in 3D.
Please let me know if this character is acceptable, thanks.
The beginnings of his legs. I drew a little sketch, but I didnt bring it with me to scan into a computer. So I'll have to do that later, as I am going to begin modeling.
I made another sketch, I'll scan that in soon. I am thinking of making the guy's arm more robotic than it was in the cartoon and game. Here is an image i found on the internet.
I have been working a little on the legs and the boots of Norma. I use a lower polygon model to work on and create a smooth proxt model scaled in -1 to see what a highly smoothed end result would look like.
