normapping tutorial please help

hello ladies and gentlemen. i have one problem when i go to bake high poly objects into my low poly object. in the status bar it says "error: value is out of range:0 and i am using maya 6.5.

Pleas help i have been to many forums and have even tried to fix my copy of maya but that problem still happens.

But thanks for the1st part of the turotal helped alot and im sure once i get that problem done, the 2nd part will be easy as pie:headbang:

lol please help i cant believe im loosing sleep over this. Last night i drempt that i was a norm mapped person

HA take that

After many fusterating hrs of finding out why that error kept popping up and taunting me. i called alias. Now the ladie there was super nice and i wasnt soposed to help me because i had a student version but she did any ways

she said go to my settings and documents
maya
select the version of maya you are using
go to "prefs"
delete the whole folder

*Maya has to be off when you do this unless it wont work*

and now WE PARTY
