My guess would be that since it's a student bundle, you'd have to be a student of 3D animation. It's not uncommon that students get discounts on stuff like software that they use for school.

You don't have to be an animation student. You just have to provide proof that you are either a student or staff member at a qualifying school or university.

It's also for non-commercial use.
i.e, you can use it to create showreels etc but not to create models and artwork to sell on.

yah

yah i just got the 7.0 unlimited version but i got a question. can i use it to do renders for people when they pay me or is that considered ilegal? as im not selling the model just the image.

no thats counted as commerical, any work where you are getting paid and use th student version for any part of it is considered a breach of contract
