Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

paint weight on subdiv problem

Hello.

When I use the paint weight tool on a subdiv, I have a strange problem:
I select a joint, I use the paint weight tool on my subdiv and the model stay totaly black.
I have to select the joint again, to see the result.

With a polygon or in polyproxy mode, it's working, I can see in real time my painting.

I tried with maya 7, on to différent computers, one with a quadro fx 3400.

Is Maya have a problem to refresh the diplay with this tool or is it something else?

Thank you.

u can simply rig and paint the poly cage of the subD object.

u would have to assign it a shader of its own.

problem solved.
