waves hit an island?

hi,

I want to build an island in the middle of an ocean and I need the waves to interact with it and not go through it.
Is it generally possible to do that? And if, How?
could I somehow modify a boye and glue it to it's position?

There was a post regarding the same question and someone gave a link to a tutorial but unfortunately it's dead and the site does not have the tutorial anymore.

anyone out there to help? thanx in advance

Use a softbody poly plane, effect it with turbulance field with an expression to drive the waves in the desired direction for the sea.

Create some particles to give some foam when they hit the beach, and use a point constraint for the buoy
