This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
you can do it in the attribute editor for the surface you want the reflection on, just select the shader tab (eg lambert) and set the reflectivity slider to an appropriate setting..you will also have to adjust the refractive index setting to the refractive index of the surface that you are trying to simulate (for example - metal) - have a look online through google for a table of refractive indexes - that will help you a great deal. btw you find the refractive index under raytrace options..once you've done all that its all done to rendering and tweaking - good luck with it!
