Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

First animation attempt (Plese comment)

Hello all, this is my first try at an animation. I have extracted all of the models from Max Payne 2 so i take no credit for them. I have been experimenting with decals and textures aswell. It is a scene from a video that i am making about a Mafia assasination. It is still a WIP. I need to edit the animation at the start and also make a proper enviroment. user added image

vid woks for me
1 coment is that the timing is slightly off - the flash is wen he raises his gun in ur vid it should be once in position unless u want to shoot the guy in the but ouch! unless the flash is not for the shot
its nice that u took the time to do the gun recoil on thing some games just miss out?!?!?
ps. is there another guy he is shooting at?

Looks good, Like PBman said the timing looks a bit out.

Did you do all the modeling yourself?

Thnxs, I made the flash to show that the video has gone into slo motion. I need to find a way to change the couloring when that happens. I got the models from Max Payne 2. user added image

PB man, After he shoots the first man he turnes around and shoots another guy, i will post up the finished shot later.

Here is the first scene. I need to re-render the second part of it.

I have only modeld the walls and lamp, the rest of the models are from games. Also for any body that is younger than 5, this might have some unconvinsing game violence user added image

nice
it looks much better now but i think that the first guy get shot too quick as it should be in slowmo it doesnt look as it is
but the second shot is nice
mayb some matrix bullet ribbles? to show the true slow mo effect

i like that u track the bullet across the room

btw how did u animate/make the blood?

Thanxs, The blood was done using a simple decal that i made in photoshop and put onto a 2D plane. I have decided to lessen it a bit to keep it at a mopre PG level.
To get the models into maya i got the Max Payne 2 SDK and put the models into Milkshape 3D. I then exported them as an OBJ file for Maya. To convert the textures i found a free DDS to JPEG convertor program.
