Textures on Particles

Hi guys

How would I go about baking textures onto particles, say if I want to get a bottle to dissappear (like it was made of dust).

Would I create the object, texture it and then get it to emmit particles, would they then carry the texture over??

Any help would be great.

Cheers for that, the only thing i'm stuck on is the "particle color is derived from a file texture created by baking the vase's shading group lighting"

How do you go about this??

Cheers
