Reference image

Hi, first of all, i'm just starting using Maya so im kinda lost. I started the dog tutorial and i have some problems with the image of the reference plane. I did everything, step by step, but when i change from perspective view to right side view, i cant see my dog on the plane... Ive tried some things but none of them worked. If someone could tell me how to fix it please that would be great. Thanks

I'm using Maya 6.5

Me again, Now im really confused, i changed the lower viewport to perspective and the upper one to rightside, then i placed em back like it was before, now, i can see the image of the dog in the rightside but not in the perspective. here's an image

press 6 in perspective view

u have to press 6 in each of the views lol.
