Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Graph Editor Weird Snapping

(using Maya v6.5)

I'm trying to tweak the keys in the graph editor. It's driving me crazy beacause I have to type in all of my tweaks. I can't just drag the keys around. They seem to be snapping along the value axis. When I grab a key and try to move it, it snaps to 0 or 1. I can drag it to any frame at that value.

I've set the 'Snap tool' to 0.00001 and set it to 'both' (times and values), but I don't think that that is what controls snapping. In any case, it didn't work.

I can't find any (other) snap options for the graph editor. What am I missing?

Have you got snap to axis on, like you would in modelling?

Sounds like thats going on

Where is the 'snap to axis' option in the graph editor? I do not have it on in the 3D environment...

It isn't snapping to an axis, as in locked along the y so you can only go up and down. When I move it along x (time) it snaps to 0 or 1 (value).
The keys involved here are motion path position keys, so they can only value between 0 and 1, but I should have all the decimals in between.

All 3D snapping options are turned off (to grid, to points, to curves, etc...)

Can anybody describe to me where the snapping options are for the graph editor?
