thanks my g/f and I bought a 70pc metallic magnetix box a week ago and we play with them all the time making different shapes, hah even take them to the Waffle House we frequent. she once made the comment to make her a render of a triangle. it wasn't something serious to begin with but it made me realize algebra is worth knowing. So I plan on going back after just playing and making the pieces actual measured size and length as well as more complicated angles in geometrical sphere

here's another with accurate measurements. the metal is too perfect and i do not know how to put knicks and scratches in it to make it more real looking

maybe a bump map? Though to be honest, I am not sure if this is the right solution.
