Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

game model of 1911 colt 45

hi all, i'm trying to finish up this "colt 45" model but not sure what else i should do. so far i've just got the colour map pretty much done and now i'm working on a spec map.

the model is 633 tris, i'm shooting for something that looks current gen (ps2) but don't know much about industry workflow.

any feedback appreciated.

thanks!

looks fairly good so far, have you got a wireframe so we can see how good the geometry is?

wireframe

hey, here's the wireframe.

the model was originally just going to be an accessory on my character's belt, but i'd like to finish the gun properly and use it in some cycles (for portfolio).

are normal maps used on game models of this LOD? or is spec and colour enough?

thanks for looking!
