Dvd question

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing the oliphant dvd bundle.

My question is,

What format is the dvd in. Is it a dvd movie or a dvd full of avi's. Reason I ask, is because I am on a mac G5 running maya 6.5. I can't play avi's on my computer only .mov's.

Will this tutorial dvd play on a mac?

Also, I tried lookiing for some feedback on this tut, those who tried it, how did you like it?

yeah,

I'm using qt. I've downloaded stuff from divx, but for some reason I still cant read avi's. And as far as the VLC, it plays the audio portion, but I cant see picture...

And I don't like the idea of spending 90 bucks hoping the disc will read.

Anyone have any ideas....Kurt you out there?
