Mirror joint - behaviour not working

Hi Guys,

I've started creating a new rig for the challenge competition and whenever I mirror the right arm skeleton to the left and choose 'behaviour' as one of the options it never mirrors the actual rotation.
Basically once I've mirrored it then I select both elbow joints and rotate but they never both go forward.
Any help on what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated user added image

thanks varley, I managed to figure it out though - just inexperience from not knowing much about rigs.
I was selecting both elbow joints and then attempting to rotate them - resulting in them both going left or both going right.
If I just key in (for example) the x rotation in the attribute box then they rotate together ok - d'oh user added image
