architecture / room

Hi!

I built this room in order to have a realistic looking one in the end.
I used GI and FG. so far it isn't that realistic.

maybe u have some tips? :-)

more c&c, let me think-

more photons and/or more FG rays.

more shadow rays on the lights

a door/entrance would be nice.

some metal, since this is a modernistic setup, some metal on the columns (???) would be nice

that's all I can think of.

HI!

sorry didn't had a lot of time last days, but read some tutorials about lighting and tried to use what I learned...

next I want to add some more objects and maybe I open up the room in the background, so it gets more big. its even too dark downstairs ^^

This might sound a little bit redicules, but try using Bump-Maps more often.
As in the real world, rarely you see a completely flat-out object.

Looking good though,
Could use some more brightness perhaps.

Allo,
in my opinion i think that the lighting in the first one was better.
Somthing about this one seems a bit unnatural. It could be the glowing effect that the first one has.
sorry if i am not specific enough.

in the first pic I jut had 1 pointlight in the middel of the room, as u can see, there is a highlighted spot on the floor.

but I wanted to have a source, from where the light comes, the glowing parts dont highlight the room by themselves. maybe its possibly to do, but I dont know how... maybe someone knows?

The 2. pic looks more like I photographed the room with flashlight, I thought it would look more realistic.

but maybe u have some ideas where to put lights?

Thx for C&C's so far user added image

bye

Update:

I think the bump on the wall in the back looks good and the floor is ok the rest I have to work an...
