This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I am think of putting a heap of these cartoon bug-like characters all on and around the hill hacking into, digging and building on it...I guess that would make him grim!!
also to perhaps change the texture to rock or something and have lava and ash......not sure yet...
had some time to muck around with this...still not sure where it is going...haha...
just a few add-ons to see if the idea may work or not...
I made the bugs a little while ago..fully rigged and they look great close up too...But I had nothing to use them for...They just might come in handy for this peice!
haha...potato aliens!
They did turn out a little fatter on the render...
Yeah, I was wondering too about if its ok to use them..
I basically made them to practice character animation.thats all...They have never been used for anything...But I will check..I want to be sure I dont break any rules..
It's cool, this idea isnt solid...I just wanted to see how it may look.
Might force me to create something else which is always good for practice..
Ph0N37Ic5, thats what I was thinking about! cool....
Perhaps a hole being dug right into him for a tunnel or something and him grimicing in pain kind of thing...
Now...to model a front end loader..
Sometimes you eat the bear...Sometimes the bear eats you...
Either way...shit happens
sounds like a good idea and that should be a fun vehicle to model. Not sure where you can get some blueprints... There are plenty of images on google though, so it shouldn't be too tough to knock something together.
