Without knowing much about the monitor, I think that your monitor is a "widescreen" monitor with an aspect ratio of 16:9 or 1.777' (when you divide the horizontal by the verticle pixles) whereas your setting that you have selected on your graphics card is in "Std format" of 4:3 or 1.333' (again doing the same division).

Try going to the 1280 x 720 as thats a widescreen format and see if it makes it look better.

Hope it helps

Cheers

I use a 19" TFT and use the res of 1280x1024.

I get no problems with the displays being out.

Thats nice, LOL

What I was saying is that if the monitor is a widescreen monitor then the resolution has to be set to a widescreen format, if you change your resolution to a widescreen one it will look funny.

Is there not an aspect ratio setting on your monitor or graphics card.

The problem seems to be like when you play a non widescreen movie on a widescreen TV, it gets streched to try and fill the screen causing problems.

I use a 19" too with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 and there are no problems.

Have you tried the 1280 x 1024 yet??

try 1280 x 720 with a refresh rate 60 - 150 Hz and color 32.

This is 16:9 size then

But your sreenshot looks normal......user added image
