Do you have to buy Maya to use simply Maya, or is there anything left in the world that is FREE?

umm... it is quite obvious that he is not using simply maya. lol :p

you can always get the personal learning edition of maya, it is free, has (almost) full features, apart from an annoying watermark... user added image

You know simply maya costs money to run, you know like web site, bandwidth etc Oh that's right you only mean free from your point of view.

As said before you don't have to buy maya to use SM.

As for free theres, Maya PLE, GIMP (Free sort of version of photoshop), Video Mach (for creating movies), free video tutorials (on here), free text tutorials (on other sites www.learningmaya.com for one), and free textures and MEL Scripts, theres even free rendering software (indigo, that mattthman knows all about!)

So theres quite a bit left in the world thats free, unless you want to be charged for it?? J/K.

Cheers
