Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I'm guessing this is something I'm doing stupidly but when I extrude a Nurbs primitive circle along an EP curve instead of the perfectly smooth cylinder expected I get some distortion. I tidy this up using split polygon tool and moving the relevant vertix but this takes ages.
Can anyone let me know if I need to adjust the settings for the extrude or if this is normal etc?
Try either creating more control points in the curve before extruding or rebuild the curve with more points using the rebuild couve command, that should sort it out
