omg the sound is gone!

theree is something wrong with the sound system of my computer. The speakers are plugged in correctly, the volume is turned up, nothing is muted (as far as I've known from what I've checked) and I don't know what happened. One night it was working and the next I couldn't here any music... or sound for that matter. I need all your technical suggestions on how to approach this problem as I really need my sound lol. I'm not that tech savvy, well maybe a little, but not that lot, so yea.... Thanks a thousand...

There are a thousand causes to this problem. Most of the time its from bad connections, cable, external power to the speakers and simple stuff like that.

What sound 'system' are you using? Is it onboard or is a card? Its most likely that by the time I reply, you would have fixed it, lol.
