This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
Ok so Im new too this forum and I was hoping for some C&C on my latest WIP... I decided to test my skills on a Mech... this is waht i have so far please tell me what you think.. oh and i am still very new to 3d so any pointers would be great
I have only been working on this project for about 3 days now and it is still very much in its early stages... i hope you enjoy what I have so far
here is where I am currently at in this project.... things to still do are / Details details details / model rest of wing / hand / foot / and fix head.... tell me what you all think so far.
looks absolutely amazing. is there a template or blueprint you're working from? i don't think i'd be able to go into this much detail just from inside my head...
perhaps a closeup of the places you mentioned (wing, hand, foot, head) so we can get a better idea of your progress?
sure i can do that for you ... um but no there is no templete im working from all i did was just draw out a basic couple shapes in a side view that I was looking for ... like general angles... then just went from there
Maybe you can do a clay render to show your details better.
Very cool mech though.

I guess I'll summarize then.
Create a plane for yer mech 2 stand on and suround him with a resized sphere like you would HDRI or somethin like that. Make everything lambert and a light color like grey or white.
Go to render settings, then Image Based Lighting and click create. Attach yer HDR image to the light node and voila.
