Yamaha YZF R1

Hello People

I know this is a WIP section but unfortunately i have been working on this project for a while now to start posting images starting from the beginning.

I should have posted my works here at SM instead of on other sites, nonetheless... the WIP of my bike can be viewed below...

https://www.threedy.com/site/forum/sh...ad.php?t=38741

The images below are updates that don't appear on the other site.

So, from now on, i think i will keep posting any updates here at SM

Feel free to comment and critic!

Hey guys,
Thank you for the really warm comments! user added image
They really motivate me to push it further...

Concerning the blue prints, well guys... It is kinda funny the way i got them...

About 2yrs ago i bought a 1/12th model of this bike. After analysing all the details and thinking of the people whom i would call Artists who worked on a concept like this, Miniatures!
Anyway, it's just an amazing piece of work in itself...
So, i decided to recreate a 3D version of it which of course would take much longer to achieve

Right now, the bike is again back into pieces in a small box on my desk without any decals or paint, still! lol

I also did lots of research on the internet to find photos which i am also using as reference.
There was also a pdf manual that i got so, from that i have made some print outs for some parts/sections i needed and i am working from that...
In other term, a whole lot of references user added image

Whereas for the renders, i'm not too worried about it for the time being because i haven't really done any texturing yet so i'm not really doing expensive renders with it for now... But will sure work at it user added image

Anyway, just thought i'd post a small update coz i have been working on the engine for the last couple of days so...here it is user added image

Relly nice moddeling.........I love your last renders, really cool user added image

The texturing seems to less realistic to me, try to put nice bump maps, and had little dettails in the color to make your project perfect user added image

Best Regards

The shading looks much better.

Hey Hi Guys!

It's been a little while since my last post...

Gamester:
Thanks for the warm comment user added image
I haven't really done any texturing on the bike yet... All you see are only some Materials that I whacked onto each parts for the moment

echo red & 99GsTurbo:
Thanks for your warm comments as well user added image Really appreciate it
You're right echo red... I was trying to do some Occlusion tests while thinking of the whole design of the bike.
I'm trying to think of alternatives and also learning a few things so that I can put my final together...

*So, any idea or suggestions would be cool to hear

I've added some more details so far and I have also fixed some modelling, well just optimizing a bit

Not sure if you'd see any difference though... At least now it looks like it has some guts hehee user added image
