render layer question

Hi Im new to render layers and its a great help but I have a problem with it. I have a ship that has a very reflective cockpit window but when i render it seperately i dont get the reflections on the window because the room is not part of that layer. how can I render only the ship and still get the reflection of the room to the windshield.
user added image

thanks
