Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I don't know where the idea came from, but it started as a Photoshop project, and now its a Maya user added image with my own logo and all. The "m"

I suck at UV´s and figured that i didn't need to texture all six faces, since it's so thin anyways... But here are some renders

and no! It's not a "real" code. Just something i wrote down user added image

rounded edges? i don't think it would be that difficult... the hard(er) part that i'd love to see is bump mapping for the letters in the customer name and the account number. maybe displacement instead? *shrug*

This is as primitive as it get´s since i rushed some renders and it's 0237 DKK time (Yawn)

ill look to it tomorrow. Or later that is.

The effect of the letters where made in the photoshop image. But it will of course look better made with displacement !

although i really need texturing experience !
but i have to start somewhere, and this will be it user added image

I got started with Maya through Photoshop projects too, strange how that happens!!

It's not a bad start, but rounding the edges would be even better (hint: bevel tool). It would also be very nice to see the numbers raised with a bmp map. There's loads to learn but there are also loads of realy good tutorials out there to help you (the Maya f1 help menu is indispensible).
