Hi, playing with Maya as a newbie... can anyone tell me why the render has such poor edges... i have looked at the rendering info (globals) and can't improve the quality...

Thanks

dont quote me on this but increasing the quality on anti-aliasing useally smoothes those edge problems by adding faded pixels on the edge of the lines. try increasing it in your globals.

hope that helps

your edges in this render are razor sharp. mabey not your problem but its a large improvement if you fix it with a bevel or some such.
