Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Have anoying problem with move/rotate/scale.

Hey guys? I am completely new to maya, now I am trying to learn by making that Franky character from free movies.

Now for some reason, when I click for example 'Scale' my 3D view has 4 boxes appearing (1 in the middle and 3 for each axis as it should) and I can do everything normally.

But for my top, side and front view it just has 2 tiny, hardly visible gray lines appearing, which I'm not even able to click on. :headbang:

Anyone know how to fix it? Please help! Thx :attn:

Your Help Files (F1) explains how to use the Maya UI, best read that before you model, as you will just get stuck at every turn.

What version are you using? I've got Maya 8.0 and have never seen that before. Try hitting space bar, spilting the GUI into four, and you'll see a top, side, bottom and prespective views. Try that.
