This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
Yeah, thats what i needed! Im horrible at lighting and ill switch it over to mental ray now! Heres another render of it (forgot to flick on raytracing) and added a mug for reflection purposes.

(While in your perspective view (Which IÕm guessing is the camera youÕre rendering with)) Go to View>Select Camera, then while in the AE (Attribute Editor) of the camera, go to Environment and you should see it.
This is made all with Polys, i loath Nurbs... Also I messed around with the mental ray settings and got the most photo realistic render yet. What can I do to make this completely photo realistic? What settings, or do i have the right proportions, soemthing i should add? And thanks Jr.Who, your a lot of help!

Big improvement on your render, good work. I think the lip on the cup needs to be a little more rounded (unless it's supposed to be like that). Also, what happened to the picture in the frame, it's all blue now.
Don't be satisfied with what you can do but rather strive to do the things you can't do!
Exceed Expectations!
The picture in the frame had such bad resolution it made the whole scene look like crap, so I changed it to an odd blue cloud that looks cool. Thanks for pointing out the mug, ill get right onto fixing it, but right now maya froze on me and i just restarted my computer. Also, i had no idea maya stores the history of each object!? That could have saved me some time... haha. Thanks for the help, ill probably need more!
Heres some tweaks i just updated. The mug isnt updated yet.
