Persp camera goes crazy

When I hit F while on the persp camera, the camera will fly to a very far away place (as evidence by the coordinates). As a result, I can't see anything, not even the grid.

How can I set the persp camera to the default settings?

This worked for me, it creates a new perspektive view at the default range.

this usually happens when you have a node selected which is somewhere in nirvana while hitting "f". create some object in 0 0 0 and press f.

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.

Normally, I use the F without anything selected to get a full view of the scene.

Thanks.

Tried it but the new perspective cam also had the same problem.
