Viewing object size?

Hi all,

I'm doing a tutorial now, that involves making a salt shaker (body out of nurbs that are lofted, head is a sphere).

When I select the topmost circle, I can see its scale, but not it's actual size. I would like to see its size, so that I can then adjust the sphere's size to be exactly the same. I would also like to know where to see the sphere's size - again I can only see its scale.

Just like to know how to do this for future ref.

thanks,

g.

if you havent deleted the history then wehn you make an object (if you done have interactive creation on) everythings is set to a scale of 1x1x1 or the size of 1cm x 1cm x 1cm (depending on your preferences) so back to the point a circle at a scale of 1 should fit a sphere of 1, (I think LOL!) Not got maya open at the emo to check.
