Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

My bad, If i select a texture and open the up the attribute editor there are attributes with adjustable values. I'm trying to find the
texture quality attribute.

Do you mean the quality like, JPEG quality, or the size of the pic?

I'm not sure lol. It's from my book. Here's the sentence from the book:

" You can also set the Texture Quality in the Attribute Editor for each material node so that you can see the texture more clearly."

Usually bolded text means a interface in Maya.

If I understand your question I think you are wanting to change the display quality of the texture in the viewport.
In the Attribute editor you will find this under Hardware Texturing, select the Texture resolution drop down menu to change (it would normally be set to default but if you have a texture that displays badly you can change this to high or highest).

I think what the book is just trying to say that you can change the texture quality for the material in the attribute editor of the material by tweaking around with the settings etc.

Well usually when something is bolded in my book it means that it is a maya interface. For example

"Go to Display menu and under NURBS choose...."

"Go to the panel's Renderer menu and enable High Quality Rendering

"By going to the Window menu and selecting...."

My book is Learning Autodesk Maya 8 Foundation

Hmm. Maybe this feature was available only in Maya 8?

Try going under WINDOW then RENDER EDITORS then select RENDER SETTINS then tab named Maya software, if that is what your using. The you will see a setting for quality.

Believe that is what the book is referring to.
