Maya Complete or Unlimited

What is the best solution to use to make a high quality animation clip as seen in lord of e ring, Which software combo below is the best

A) Maya Complete, Z brush, Photoshop and a Video editing sftware

B) Maya Unlimited Z brush Photoshop and Video editing software

Models to animate are as seen in Lord of e Rings. all wearing armours, simple ancient clothes and capes, And mainly thos fantasy like clothings. I have no problem to decide for making creatures like the oliphant or nazgul as they have no cloth on them, My concern is those soldiers with capes and cloth on them,

Tnx

Maya was used for all that stuff but wasnt used for the animation of armies in Lord of the rings, they used software called Massive.

Have you been using Maya very long?

Just so I'm not completely useless in this post, as others have said, Unlimited has all the fur, cloth, etc. built in. That being said, with complete, you can always achieve the same thing with add-ons (shave and a haircut, Syflex cloth, etc) and it may yet be cheaper (don't quote me on that last part).

You will definitely need a compositing software, After effects, Shake, Combustion, Fusion etc..
