Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Texture/Surface Mapping to Object

Morning all,

Another day another question.
Im trying to map the triangles (3d) to the surface/structure in the back ground does this need to be done as a UV textures or is there simpler/better method?

Cheers,

Matt

yeah - not sure i understand you, but if you're trying to map the triangles to the other structure than you're going to have to use the UV editor. if you're just trying to add the bumpy texture than you can probably just use automatic map them and then assign the same shader.
