This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Nose model

I made this nose without any photo reference and i was wondering what do you think about it.... Does it looks like a nose to you?user added image
Pleas leave some comments because i'm kinda new to maya.
Well... not new, but recently i am using it more frequently.

Yeah, it looks like a nose... but it's doesn't look that good though.. the nostrils look weird and the "bridges" on the side look weird also. The topology isn't perfect either.

well it looks like a nose, thats for sure.

topology is the placement of the polygons, have a look in the WIP forum, theres a sticky at the top that has topology examples.

yeah - it needs some work as the others have said - also, the septum (where the nose meets the face) should be less of a right angle. the tip needs to be more rounded and the whole front part of the nose should have its own form - at the moment the side view shows that the profile curve is concave - you rarely have any concave forms on the body.

good to say you didnt have any refs
to improve it get so refrence images

yep nose profile is good
ive tested it and found loads on google images
