Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Snail Feed Back Please

Here is a picture of a snail im modeling. I'm mostly interested in feed back on the poly construction! I like the way the Subdivided model looks but just trying to learn about how to build with polygons! Thanks for any info!

Looks good for a slug user added image

Poly construction seems fine.. you shouldn't run into to many problem with edge flow until you start modeling more complex organic specimens... such as human and creatures.

Shell

Yeah it does need a shell I will model that at some point in time. I am learning so I kinda run tests on different things and i jump around a lot! The shell will happen some day! I modeled this mostly to get a nice clean model for laying out UV practice! Thats the next step with this model. Thank you all for the feed back!!

are you going to texture it and add a bump/displacement map?

Looks good, put some simple coloring on it and it will look like a great cartoon slug (soon to be snail user added image) or add a decent bump map and spend some time doing a detailed texture on it and it could look really real....

If you put eyes on it it would look just like the slugs from the movie 'Flushed away' and they were the funniest part of that movie! lol
