Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

selecting vertices problem..please help

How do I select vertices after I have already selected them. In tutorials he will select a bunch of verts and then if he misses some he then selects the surrounding vertices while not affecting the ones he originally selected. I thought it was shift select.. but when I do shift select it deselects some of the original ones I selected. Hard to explain.. Is there a pref for this ?

just hold shift, but make sure you don't select some of the vertices that you have already selected. it's sometimes easier to select more vertices than you actually need and then use ctrl to deselect the ones you don't need.

You can also hold shift and control together so that it doesn't deselect ones already selected.
