what tool is this guy using?

hi

i was just watching a time laps video of a guy modeling a character, however he was using a tool i'm unfamiliar with,
can anyone please tell me what it is, i know it cant be the create polygon tool,

p.s i'm still using maya7, so there is a chance it could be a new tool in the later versions of maya,

here's the time laps video

Wow thats really cool, I am guessing its a custom tool/plug-in for Maya that uses 'make live' object mode to help guide the placements of vertices. Looks like a really handy tool for certain jobs, wonder if it can be found on highend3d.com or somewhere similar.
